Please plan on joining us for the 5th annual Leafmore 5K and Kids Biathlon on Saturday, August 13! The 5K will begin at 7:15 am, followed by a start time of 8:30 am for the biathlon and biathlon relay.
5K Race Information: The 5K is open to adults and children of all ages. The course will traverse through the Leafmore neighborhood, starting and finishing at the Leafmore Creek Park Clubhouse (1373 Altamont Drive, Decatur, GA 30033). One water station (near mile 2) will be available along the route. Jogging strollers and dogs are welcome.
*Childcare: In an effort to include parents who want to run the 5K and then assist their children competing in the biathlon, childcare at the playground/field will be available while parents are running. You MUST indicate your need for this during the registration process so we can plan accordingly.

5K Awards: Overall Male/Female awards will be given, as well as the top finisher in the following age divisions: 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Up.

Kids Biathlon Awards: Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers (by gender) in the following age groups: 6 & Under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14.
New event! Biathlon Relay: Open to all ages, we've added a new option to the event lineup in 2016. The biathlon relay will consist of 2 person teams participating in one distance only: 100 yard swim & 1 mile run. Examples include parent-child team, sibling team, neighborhood mom team, etc. The relay will start after all the waves of the individual biathlon have entered the pool. One team member will swim 100 yards and tag their partner in the transition area to complete the 1 mile run.
Registration Information: The Leafmore 5K & Kids Biathlon was created first and foremost, to be a community and family-oriented event. We therefore keep entry fees to a minimum. We don't hand out t-shirts for this reason, but do provide registration schwag and refreshments. All proceeds from the event are donated to the Leafmore Dolphin Swim Team and the Dekalb Trailblazer Youth XC Running Club.
There are three ways participants can register for the event: 1) as an individual 2) as part of a relay team or 3) as a family. Registration costs for each are as follows:

- $50 family rate - includes up to 6 people from the SAME household and can include a combination of 5K and biathlon entries
- $20 for biathlon relay (2 people per team) - biathlon relay entries are NOT included in the family rate above
